今井镇是奈良县橿原市的老城区。它已被日本政府指定为重要的历史建筑群保护区。在16世纪，随着堺在大阪，繁荣的一个自治市。此外，整个城市被护城河环绕，并在战争中充当一个堡垒。
Imai-cho is the old town in Kashihara city,Nara Prefecture. It has been designated the Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings by the Japanese government. In the 16th century ,along with Sakai in Osaka ,it have prospered as a burgh. Moreover, the entire town is surrounded by a moat,and had functioned as a fortress during the war.
現在の今井町は16世紀の建造物が保存された静かな住宅街です。見学可能な住宅も何軒かあり、レストランやカフェなどもあるため、旅行者が気軽に散策を楽しむことができます。京都のように観光開発されていないため、素顔の日本の集落を感じることができるのが魅力です。
今井町へは近鉄橿原線八木西口駅から徒歩3分です。

Imai-cho is 3-minute walk from Yagi-nishiguchi Station on the Kintetsu Kashihara line.
